The Road to Hana is a single lane winding road with beautiful waterfalls and amazing views along the way. When going to Hana, use good judgment in what time of day to go and what time to leave. If you’re unfamiliar with the area, we recommend heading there in the early morning and leaving before sunset.
(*The Road to Hana can be dangerous if you’re not cautious, so be aware that the road can be narrow & windy, and be sure to keep your eyes open for oncoming traffic.)
There are many beautiful beaches on Maui such as, Wai’anapanapa or Black Sand Beach, Hamoa or White Sand Beach, and Hana beach!
When it comes to restaurants, we recommend Hana Ranch Restaurant if you’re looking for American food with a Hawaiian twist (high-end). If you’re not in Hana, we recommend Roy’s amazing food and drinks! Hawaiian fusion by chef Roy Yamaguchi (also high-end). If you’re looking for something more casual, there are tons of great food trucks all over the island!
If you do happen to wind up in Hana, stop by Caroline’s near Hamoa beach, on the corner of Hana Hwy and Haneoo Rd! Caroline makes her own island-inspired jewelry with shells from her backyard, and her husband Tony is a professional drone photographer. His work is also sold on site. They sell amazing fresh fruit that they mostly get from their property!
